Questions, answered
Answers to the most common questions before joining DanceFest.
DanceFest welcomes dancers of different ages who perform in a variety of styles. Each age group is judged separately, allowing every routine to be assessed fairly. Available categories, age groups and dance styles are listed in the event cards.
Registration is completed by a studio leader or representative through my.dancefest.lv. Submit your application, go through the selection process, upload media files and pay the invoice issued to you. While registration is open, you can add new routines or make changes to existing entries.
Entry fees and regulations are available in the event cards and on my.dancefest.lv.
We aim to publish the final schedule one week before the event and email it to all participants. On the day of the event, the schedule will also be available to participants and spectators in our competit.io service.
Judges evaluate each routine against three criteria: Dance Composition (10 points), Technical Performance (10 points), and Image and Stage Culture (5 points). Placements are awarded according to the total score. More details are available in the festival regulations.
The Pro Category is designed for the strongest and most competitive dancers. Unlike regular divisions, only one 1st, one 2nd, and one 3rd place are awarded, making every placement truly prestigious. Competitors perform in front of a top-level judging panel, qualify through a video selection process, and compete for cash prizes. This category brings together the highest-level talent, creating an exciting and elite competition atmosphere.
Yes. We announce ticket purchase terms separately before each event. Tickets can usually be bought on our website or at the venue.
Results and photos are sent to studio leaders on the day of the event or the following day.
